Shoe Polish Tips

Before anything, use Fiebing’s Spot Remover to take off any old polish or dirt on the surface of the shoes. Then take a toothbrush to remove all the dirt on the welts of the shoes, since it’s difficult to do it with a cloth. Next, you apply two layers of Kelly’s Shoe Wax. Make the first coat nice and even over the whole shoe. Then use a horsehair brush to make it smooth. For the second coat, spray the cloth with water, so that when you put it on leather, it’ll bring more shine. Brush it again, and then use a clean cloth, which you can wet a little bit, but not much, and buff it out to bring up the shine.
